Be Still

Be still.

How often do we respond by saying, “But there’s so much to do,” while rising out of bed, running, and thinking about the, list for the day?

Yet, there is a better way to respond.

What better place is there to rest than in the shadow of God’s wings?

Think back to what God has done in your life.

God created all the heavens and all that is within. Nothing is too great or too small for Him, not even the tiniest of details; He does not miss a thing.

Be still.

When we keep our eyes focused on Jesus during times of trouble and peace, He becomes our refuge. He is our strength.

Be still.

For if the Lord is for us, who can be against us?

Be still.

Rejoice and be glad that God will be exalted. For, “Every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:9-11).

Be still.

Take the quiet time and reflect upon the nature of God. Trust in Him and know that He’s in control. May that be an encouragement to you and strengthen your faith.
